In this series, a cosmic event in 1896 has left a small group of women with unusual abilities.
As for who, and what, is Amalia True? Itâs just as convoluted. Sheâs not the person who we saw jump into the river in episode 1, but rather someone from that apocalyptic future who got put in the suicidal Mrs. Trueâs body by the alien, which is called a Galanthi, apparently. What the series fails to understand, is that some simplicity would have gone a long way here. If the Touched acquired their powers from a vague cosmic event (and not an alien from the future) and Amalia was a person who tried to take her own life but now found a new purpose in guiding others who were changed as she was, that wouldâve been more than enough to fuel the story. Whatâs more, the real Mrs. Trueâs tragic history is a very human one that we can understand, while this soldier from the future is much harder to connect with. The penultimate episode, âHanged,â ended with the
Iâve written in the past about how President Joe Biden is no political moderate, despite what some political commentators claimed during the 2020 election cycle. Quite frankly, the last few months have not been good for our country. There are specific areas where the Biden administration is completely destroying America by taking the country even beyond the failed policies of the Obama administration when Biden was vice president.
The first area of major regression is Americaâs border security. The Trump administration spent four years building a border security wall and implementing policies that discouraged illegal immigrants from entering our country. Illegal border crossings were going down, and violent criminal aliens were being deported back to their home countries. This was good for America because it was allowing us to refocus our attention on rebuilding the homeland and aiding American taxpayers as opposed to draining Americaâs resources on criminal aliens.
